Get to know Lindsay Quick

Intro summary of who you are:

I have a background in both marketing and graphic design. My favorite part of any workday is when those two disciplines collide. I love the creative, free-spirited side of graphic design and when I can couple it with the more analytical, result-based marketing part of my brain, magic happens.

Position / Job Title:

Lead Marketing Manager - Local, Corporate & Community Relations

Summary of Job Title:

My job at Campus Ink is to help customers see their ideas come to life. With a focus on our local Champaign County community, I help companies and individuals develop brands and empower them to create something that they are really proud of. At the end of the day t-shirts and novelty items are meant to be fun, but they can definitely make a huge impact.

What you’re most excited to do at Campus Ink?

I love working with small businesses. I am most excited to help the local business community make statements with apparel and merchandise. There is something so powerful in branded items - you can literally turn people into walking advertisements for your business.

Where are you from?

Although not necessarily a “townie” in the traditional sense, Central Illinois has always been home to me. I grew up in Mattoon as a Greenwave, went to Millikin University in Decatur where we cheered on the Big Blue, and currently reside in Champaign where we hail to the orange and blue.

What was your previous career?

Prior to joining the Campus Ink family, I was the Director of Marketing and Events for the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce. I was in charge of all marketing for the Chamber as well as the planning of a few major events throughout the year. I think that this past experience has given me some really great perspective for my role with Campus Ink.

Where do you work from?

In the office at our Urbana location.

Hobbies:

I am a volleyball junkie. I started playing when I was pretty young and just can’t quite shake the habit. I love playing in different leagues around the community.

The volleyball habit is really ideal because I also love to cook and eat. One of my love languages is definitely making meals for my family and friends. Nothing brings me more joy than creating a meal that people love and enjoy. I also dabble in baking some, but that’s still a bit of a work in progress.

A surprising fact about yourself:

My birthday is on Christmas Eve. Having a birthday so close to Christmas is always interesting. There is usually SO much going on during that time of year but in general, people tend to be in a holly-jolly mood which is fun.
